 Drama theatre "St. Kirov" - SlivenNestled at the base of the Balkan Mountains in Southeastern Europe - Bulgaria in a town named Sliven(110 000 population), at a distance of 300 kilometers from the capital city Sofia and 100 kilometers from the Black Sea. The theatre traditions in Sliven last for 140 years when the first theatre stage in the city has been opened.90 years ago the first professional formation in Sliven has been founded. The new building of Sliven drama theatre has been built in 1986. The theatre has two performing spaces - Big stage (484 seats), small stage (121 seats), a ballet hall, two foyer spaces. It is situated in the very heart of the city of Sliven. It is also the biggest cultural institute in region and one of the biggest in the country. Sliven playhouse is a perfect place for national and international productions, coproductions, workshops, conferences, meetings, etc. The drama theatre “Stefan Kirov” is a repertory theatre and receives funds from the ministry of culture.
